The Sports Association International Mushing Sleddog Sport School SIM is a Sports Association recognized by the Italian Culture Sport Association, the Italian National Olympic Committee and the Italian Musher Sleddog Sport Federation. It is a Dog training center authorized by the Veterinary Service of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region.
It has about fifty sled Dogs, mainly Alaskan Husky, a staff of qualified Instructors, Guides and all the necessary equipment.
All year round this wonderful sport is taught during fabulous excursions preceded by accurate explanations both in Winter on snow driving sleds and Dogs and in Summer in Dog Trekking on foot.
In winter, the School offers individual and group experiences for beginners lasting a minimum of half an hour up to full 20-hour courses that can be done in 2 and a half days and guided trips to Lapland and Alaska.
Everyone is given the possibility to drive alone a sled pulled by a minimum of 2 to a maximum of 4 dogs, followed at a distance by the Instructor. In special cases it is possible to be transported in a sled guided by an Instructor.
The School’s central base is in Tarvisio (UD) ITALY but the School offers its services by reservation also in Cortina d’Ampezzo (BL) and wherever they are requested.
