The School has about fifty Alaskan Husky dogs, a new breed derived from mating between indigenous dogs of various Indian and Eskimo villages, sometimes with Arctic wolves but also with external breeds. Careful selections have been made to fix certain peculiar characteristics relating to the generous disposition and the aptitude for work above all, rather than external beauty. They are proud, indefatigable, independent but at the same time generous, affectionate and attentive dogs.
