Welcome to the magical world of the "Mushers", the sled dogs drivers !! The SIM International Mushing School is an amateur sports association recognized by the Italian Olympic Committee and the Italian Association for Culture and Sport (AICS). Please take a moment to review the activities we offer.
All fees include insurance.
Anyone using the school's services is required to pay an annual membership fee of €5 (five euros) at the first outing. Payment must be made in advance via bank transfer or in cash on-site; as we are located on the border with Slovenia and Austria, we are in an international roaming zone not supported by Italian POS terminals, and the local network connection is very unstable.
1) Lesson // basic winter snow excursion (a brief introduction to the sport) lasting a total of 30 minutes. This includes participant registration, a detailed initial theory lesson on driving and interacting with our dogs, sled preparation, and an excursion as passengers in a suitable sled driven by an instructor (accommodating a maximum of 2 adults and 1 or 2 children, subject to on-site assessment based on age and weight), with the opportunity to drive the sled alongside the instructor on certain sections of the trail; upon return: photos, cuddles, and treats for the dogs:
A) Individual (adults and youths aged 15+): €40 each + €5 membership fee (payable only the first time) Time: 8:30 > 12:30
B) Individual (children and youths up to age 14): €35 each + €5 membership fee (payable only the first time) Time: 8:30 > 12:30
C) Groups* of schools and recreational organizations with a minimum of 15 participants: € 30 each for ages up to 14 / €35 each for ages 15 and up . Time: 8:30 > 12:30 am
NB: these fees are only for the basic 30-minute experience.
*For all organizations with a VAT – IVA Tax number, the Scuola Internazionale Mushing association requires payment via invoice for the net fee - excluding the annual membership fee for each participant - plus 22% VAT - IVA tax number on the total amount.
2) 1-hour lesson/excursion (includes the elements detailed in point 1 but with a longer ride): €80 per person + €5 membership fee (payable only on the first visit) – Time: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
3) Snowmobile Tour: Experience the thrill of riding a snowmobile following an instructor - after a detailed briefing - with the chance to drive it yourself (a motorcycle or car driving license is required) on our school's tracks:
* €100 + €5 membership fee (payable only once) per 2-seater snowmobile for 1 hour;
* €50 + €5 membership fee (payable only once) per 2-seater snowmobile for 30 minutes. Start time: from 2:00 PM.
4) 20 hours courses involving individual sled driving by each participant, covering various levels -Student Musher, Musher, Guide, Master, and Instructor - starting at €1,500 + €5 membership fee (payable only once), including the issuance of a SIM certification.

Recommended winter clothing consists of standard ski wear - specifically, a sufficiently warm and comfortable jacket and trousers - along with gloves, a hat, and warm, comfortable footwear suitable for snow or hiking (such as après-ski boots). Footwear should not be bulky (we advise against "Moon Boots") to ensure ease of movement in the snow.
We are located on the Fusine Plain (Tarvisio) along National Road 54, just before the border with Slovenia (Kranjska Gora). You can find the "SCUOLA INTERNAZIONALE SLEDDOG MUSHING SPORT" on Google Maps.

Sled excursions 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM Snowmobile excursions 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM (barring any previously announced exceptions).
