PAYMENT IS ACCEPTED IN ADVANCE BY BANK TRANSFER OR PAYMENT ON SITE IN CASH ONLY, SINCE OUR BASE, ON THE BORDER WITH SLOVENIA AND AUSTRIA, IS IN INTERNATIONAL ROAMING, NOT SUPPORTED BY ITALIAN POS, AND THE LOCAL NETWORK IS VERY UNSTABLE !
Welcome to the magical world of the "Mushers", the sled dogs drivers !! The International Mushing School SIM is a Sports Association recognized by the Italian Olympic Committee and Italian Association for Culture and Sport (AICS). The following activities are open to anyone in good health, with a minimum level of physical fitness and love of animals and nature. In special cases, transportation of one or two passengers in a suitable sled driven by an instructor is available.
1) Lesson // basic winter tour on snow for beginners ( short approach to our Sport ) lasting a total of 30 minutes which includes the initial registration of each participant, a detailed initial theoretical lesson on driving and behaviour with our dogs, the preparation of a sled with an adequate number of dogs for each participant, an excursion driving a sled independently assisted remotely by our staff in the School ring for beginners, upon arrival then photos, cuddles and biscuits for the dogs:
A) Individual adults and children aged 15 and over: € 40 Time: 8:30 > 12:30
B) Individual children and teenagers up to 14 years: € 35 Time: 8:30 > 12:30
C) Groups* of schools and recreational organizations with a minimum of 15 participants: € 30 for children up to 14 years of age. € 35 for partecipants aged 15 and over. Time: 8:30 > 12:30 am
NB: these fees are only for the basic 30-minute experience.
*For all organizations with a VAT – IVA Tax number, the Scuola Internazionale Mushing association requires payment by invoice with a 22% VAT- IVA tax increase on the total.
2) Medium 1 hour lesson / excursion ( max. 6 participants ) which includes the details in point 1) with a longer tour than the one in point 1): € 80 each. Time: 8:30 > 12:30 am
3) Snowmobile Tour: experience the thrill of travelling on a snowmobile following an instructor after having listened to a detailed explanation with the possibility of driving it yourself (a motorcycle or car driving licence is required) on the slopes of our School: €100 per snowmobile with 2 seats for 1 hour, €50 per snowmobile with 2 seats for 30 minutes. Time: from 2.00pm.
4) 20 hours courses at various levels of Student Musher, Musher, Guide, Teacher, Instructor: starting from € 1500 with issue of license SIM.

Recommended winter clothing is classic ski pants and a windbreaker that's warm and comfortable, along with gloves, a hat, and warm, comfortable après-ski or trekking shoes—not bulky (we don't recommend Moon Boots)—to allow for easy movement in the snow.
Our headquarter is on the PIANA-FLATS of FUSINE (Tarvisio, UD Italy) on the National Road n. 54 before border with Slovenia—Kranjska Gora. You can find the International Sleddog Mushing Sport School on Google Maps.
